🥒 Fried Pickles

🛒 Ingredients:

  • 1 jar dill pickle slices (or spears, drained & patted dry)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal (for extra crunch)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk (or buttermilk)
  • Oil (for frying)

👨‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Prep:

  • Drain pickles and dry them well with paper towels (very important for crispiness!).

2. Make Batter:

  • In one bowl: mix flour, cornmeal, and spices.
  • In another bowl: whisk eggs with milk.

3. Coat:

  • Dip each pickle slice in the egg mixture.
  • Then coat in the flour mixture.
  • For extra crunch: repeat dipping again.

4. Fry:

  • Heat oil to about 180°C (350°F).
  • Fry pickles in batches for 2–3 minutes until golden brown.
  • Remove and place on paper towels.

🥣 Dipping Sauce (Easy):

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp hot sauce (optional)
