
🛒 Ingredients:
- 500g catfish fillets
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional 🌶️)
- Salt & black pepper (to taste)
- 1 cup buttermilk (or milk)
- Oil for frying
👨🍳 Instructions:
1. Prep the Fish:
- Rinse catfish and pat dry.
- Soak in buttermilk for 15–30 minutes (removes strong taste & tenderizes).
2. Make Coating:
- In a bowl, mix cornmeal, flour, and all spices.
3. Coat:
- Remove fish from buttermilk.
- Dredge in the cornmeal mixture, pressing to coat well.
4. Fry:
- Heat oil to 175–180°C (350°F).
- Fry fish for 4–6 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.

- Lemon wedges 🍋
- Tartar sauce
- Fries or coleslaw
